Apple Picking

When the weather is right, Fall and apple picking go hand-in-hand. It’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the changing weather, and teach your littles about where their food comes from. Plus, it’s an activity that ends with a healthy treat!

Visit the local Pumpkin Patch

There’s a reason why people love visiting the pumpkin patch! It’s a magical place! Pack up the whole family and head to a local pumpkin patch where your littles can pick out their very own pumpkin. Many pumpkin patches also offer hayrides, corn mazes, and other fun activities. Let your littles explore, colors, and pumpkin shapes. Be sure to capture a ton of pictures to save those memories!

Bake Fall Treats

After all the apple and pumpkin picking, the family has worked up an appetite! Baking up fall treats are the perfect time to include your littles into the festivities of enjoying treats. Some classic fall treats are apple pie, pumpkin muffins or cinnamon-sugar cookies. Little hands love helping with mixing, pouring, and of course, taste-testing. Baking together in the kitchen is not only fun, but it’s also also a wonderful way to teach them about measuring and following instructions, all while creating something delicious.

Carve or Color Pumpkins

Pumpkin caring is a timeless fall tradition, but if your littles are too small for caving, don’t worry! You can decorate pumpkins with paint, markets, or stickers instead! Set up a pumpkin decorating station and let their imaginations run free. You can even create a fun family decorating contest. This activity will keep them entertained and you’ll end up with some one-of-a-kind fall decorations for your home.

Fall Family Photoshoot

Spending time together as a family with a photoshoot! You don’t need a professional photographer to get great pictures-just dress up in your fall best and head to a local park or scenic spot. Let your littles play in the leaves and snap away. Use pumpkins or cozy blankets as props and be sure to include any family pets! This activity is a fun and happy way to preserve these special moments that will last a lifetime. Not to mention, they can be used as your family holiday card!
